Our Story
Jessye and Ryan Wilden come from a small town and loving families with many members who do life together. So, when Ryan's younger sister, Rena, and her husband, Danny, approached them one day to discuss writing their wills, Jessye and Ryan gladly said, "Yes!"
Little did they know that this decision would take them on an unexpected journey.
They never could have imagined that years after, a homicide/suicide event would take their best friends, rob two children of their parents, tear two families apart, cause their small town to take up sides, and test their faith in God. Never mind that Jessye was pregnant, that Ryan had a business to run, that they were smack in the middle of building a house, that their dog and their car were about to die, that the was budget was very, very tight.
There was never any question. Yes.
Their path has been far from easy. There were court appearances, lawyers, meetings, financial decisions, cleaning and packing, the unexpected kindness of strangers, countless prayers, and screaming at God in the car… and in the end, new life for their blended family.
Over the past six years, their family of seven has experienced a miraculous healing, a testament to a compassionate God who shares in their sorrows and brings redemption. They've seen how even in the darkest times, beauty can emerge. To symbolize their unity, they decided to blend their last names and became the Molden family.
As a family, they firmly believe that empathy triumphs over judgment, that nobody is defined by their worst days, and that love makes space for more.
Today, the Molden family resides in Mount Shasta, California, where bears make mischief with the garbage cans, and deer occasionally put on backyard performances. They share a passion for snow skiing, love exploring in their camping trailer, and often break into spontaneous kitchen dance parties.
Jessye continues to inspire others through public speaking, writing, and interviews on their podcast. They use their unique family perspective to help others find hope in the midst of life's most challenging moments.
Their family's hope is that by sharing their incredible journey and the healing it brought, they can change the way others view trauma, grief, forgiveness, redemption, and the ultimate power of love.
